Author Readings Each year the Friends of the McMinnville Library and the Friends of the Nicholson Library (Linfield College) team up to present “Readings at the Nick”, a series of author readings. Past authors have included Tracy Kidder, Philip Margolin, Ursula LeGuin, and David James Duncan. The Friends also co-sponsor MacReads, an annual community reading event. |
Explore Oregon Programs Each year in January and February, the Friends sponsor a series of programs that specifically highlight Oregon and Yamhill County speakers, authors, slide shows, and other programs of interest to our community. The programs are on Saturdays at 2pm and usually run for four to five weeks. |
Essay and Haiku Contests Throughout the year Friends members sponsor and act as judges for the Children's Essay and Teen Haiku Contests. |
