Applying for a Library Card

Everyone is welcome to use Library resourses inside the Library.  If you live within McMinnville city limits, your city property taxes provide a Full-Service Card at no additional cost.  If you live outside the city limits, you may receive limited Library services for free or full services at a cost. Click on your residence below to find out more.

Residents of Newberg and Dundee must apply for a library card at the Newberg Public Library

Learn more about your library card benefits, requesting items from other libraries, renewing, fines, fees and more.

The Oregon Library Passport Program will allow card-holders from participating libraries to register and use other participating libraries across the state. The McMinnville Public Library will participate in the Oregon Library Passport Program, available for all McMinnville patrons with a “resident”, “full service fee”, or “taxpayer” card.

For more information, please stop by the Circulation Desk, or contact Sheila McAlexander at 503-435-5556.

IMPORTANT: Many people whose address includes "McMinnville, OR 97128" actually live outside city limits. "City limits" do not coincide with addresses or school districts. You are only in the "city limits" if you or your rental property owner pays property taxes to the City of McMinnville.
