 Homebound Services

McMinnville Public Library and the City of McMinnville believe that
everyone has the right to free information.
We strive to make library resources available to everyone in the community, even if they are unable to come into the library themselves.

To put this belief into practice, we have a Homebound Services Program.

 Who Qualifies for Homebound Services?

Homebound delivery services are available to those who are unable to come to the library because of illness, age, handicap or disability.

The McMinnville Public Library Homebound Program delivers materials to individuals, within the city limits, in their homes, retirement residences, care centers and the hospital.

If you live outside the city limits, we will select books for you and leave them at the circulation desk for you or a friend to pick up.

 How Does the Service Work?

  Signing up is easy!

We need information about where you live, what kinds of materials you would like and how often you would like to receive materials.

Then we gather the materials that fit your interests and deliver these items to you.

Deliveries are made every two weeks, once a month or on an as-needed basis. We'll drop off new books, and return your old books to the library.

What if I Have a Special Request?

We'll gladly accommodate your requests! Just give our Homebound Services Librarian a call, and we will try to add this request to your next delivery.
